It was an interesting day. We had some good road (15-20mph dirt mostly) |
Some not so good road - (4wd 5mph) |
and a little What Road (get out and walk it first to see where you're going)
I realize to the old wheelers this is all nothing and they fly through it for us new to the sport every little ledge or rock is a challenge..... |
Here's a rock you kind of watch as you drive under it - but you have to figure if the powers that be decide to put a rock on your head it was time to go - but you watch anyway hoping it's not time yet :)) |
and there were a lot of sites to see along the way. Here's a pair of twin arches off in the distance - |
Flowers for the honey - |
A dead tree for me -- I don't know what it is there's just something about a dead tree that intrigues me. Something in the intricate pattern of the branches. Can't describe it - it's like the rocks, it just seems to say something that can't be expressed in words. |
At the end of the road was the overlook and we stopped there for our picnic. We found a comfy looking rock for a table and settled down for lunch with this view in front of us. |
and here's the view out the other direction. |
and here's a shot looking back on the way we came getting to the overlook. |
We went back the way we came - it was a fun day with a few little challenges and a beginning on learning what we can and can't do - |
